everyone loves santa, but no one wants to look like him

i am still suffering from the ankle injury. and it is holiday season. damn it.

everyone knows that here in good ol’ america from the end of november to beginning of january, food is allllll around us. as much as i would love to be the super disciplined healthy one…let us get real. that is not going to happen.

hurt ankle. tons of food. what to do?

keep working out.this article provides good info on keeping your goals realistic! (i will still be frequenting the swimming pool.)

also, try looking for healthier alternatives to your favorite holiday dishes!

and keep in mind how packed the colvin center is after the holidays. you don’t want to have to experience the mayhem more than normal because you are trying to workout more due to the holidays!

food- enjoy the wonderful food of the holidays, but remember to stop once feeling full!

fitness – make sure to keep up your routine, even over the break! and because college kids go home, see if your local gym will let you pay just for the time you will be back!

fun- try ice skating! it is a fun way to enjoy the holidays while burning quite a few of calories!

About collegegirlfit

I am a senior strategic communications student at Oklahoma State University. I will be a fifth-year senior next year. Yay, victory lap! I am a member of the OSU pom squad, which is what inspired my blog. We have to wear shirts exposing our core on a weekly basis, so not being fit is not an option. I hope to share my experiences with making the transition from a high school girl with a metabolism that let me eat anything under the sun, to a college student that actually has to watch what I eat and drink.
